The Latin American Climate Summit in Cartagena
The Latin American Climate Summit in Cartagena brought together more than 600 people from various sectors with a common goal: to confront the global climate crisis, strengthen carbon markets and improve the well-being of local communities.
We deeply appreciate the energy, commitment and passion of all participants, whose contributions were essential to the key messages and calls to action. The importance of the carbon market as an effective tool to reduce emissions was highlighted and the public sector was urged to lead with strong policies, the private sector to continue developing sustainable projects, and local communities to continue raising their voices as guardians of nature. Indigenous and local communities also shared their visions on the evolution of carbon markets, highlighting trust as a key element to maximize the impact of projects on future generations.
